Remember your creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come. [Jul. 20th, 2004|03:23 pm]

1) What is important...?

Ecclesiastes 2:10,11
My heart took delight in all my work, and this was the reward for my labor.
Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve,
everything was meaningles, a chasing after the wind;
nothing was gained under the sun.

Should I be upset that Funeral Etiquette is breaking up? no. Am I upset, no. It's just not important. I am happy that we've usually had a ton of fun. I didnt gain anything working or playing in the band other than being able to work and play in the band. And I'm happy for that. More than that, I'm happy that i made a new friend. Chris Ballentine is the man! If anyone wants to read some awesome, amazing short stories then go to his LJ at ctballentine. He is talented. (Also if you dont like good short stories but love all night diners-check out his work.)

2) What do i do now...?

Ecclesiastes 11:7-12:1
Light is sweet, and it pleases the eye to see the sun.
However many years a man may live, let him enjoy them all.
But let him remember the days of darkness, for there will be many.
Everything to come is meaningless.

Be happy, young man, while you are young,
and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth.
Follow the ways ofyour heart and whatever your eyes see,
but know that for all these things God will bring judgement.
So then, banish anxiety from your heart and cast off the troubles of your body,
for youth and vigor are meaningless.

Remember your creator in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come.

I will miss you doug.

Everyone come see us play with Pelican on Saturday at the Command Center.
